Mary Sheehan is Vice President, Category Strategy, Disney Advertising. In her role, Sheehan cultivates insights and creates client driven strategies, including data and targeting, media mixes and measurement, for Retail, Pharmaceutical and CPGs. Through this work, Sheehan and her team help advertisers reach their goals by utilizing Disney Advertising’s consultative approach to working alongside clients to deliver the full impact of campaigns across the entire Disney portfolio, which reaches ABC, ABC News, Disney Channels Worldwide, ESPN Networks, ESPN+, Freeform, FX, Hulu and National Geographic.
Sheehan has spent eighteen years at The Walt Disney Company, beginning her career as media director at ESPN. Prior to her current role, Sheehan served as vice president, Category Strategy, ESPN Advertising Sales, overseeing all of ESPN’s advertising categories. While at ESPN, she led marketing and media strategies for key brands such as SportsCenter, Monday Night Football, ESPN College Football, NBA and ESPN digital franchises – such as Fantasy Football. Before joining Disney, Sheehan worked client side at Pfizer as well as at the agencies of Wieden+Kennedy, MediaVest and Ogilvy.
Sheehan is a graduate of SUNY Geneseo and resides in Long Island.
